Too often in life people want the reward without the risk. We want a successful business, a big house, and a fancy car. See often we have the dreams and aspirations of winners but the work ethic of losers. Meaning If something doesn't come easy or goes according to plan we quit or walk away.
To achieve true greatness you have to go to a place you've never been, a place that requires you to use knowledge and skills you never knew you possessed.
This place is called the uncomfortable zone. Here there are no yes men, no pacifiers or built in excuses, there's only trials, tribulations and unwavering resolve.
In most cases comfortability breeds complacency.
We start to put off things we can do today until tomorrow. Did you know most animals only grow as big as the cage they're in and most plants only grow to the size of the pot. So I'm here to tell you that the same logic applies to people. See most of us are comfortable with our social circles, with our normal environment and daily routines. Well I'm here to tell you that if you're the smartest person in the room then my friend you're in the wrong room.
You need to enter into a space where everything is forgien and challenging so that you gain a greater appreciation for what you are trying to accomplish. Trust me your faith will get tested, your confidence will be shaken but through it all you will learn to navigate and maneuver in places you once only dreamed of.
Greatness doesn't happen by chance, it has to be a choice!
BET didn't come to fruition because the world was clamoring for black television. It happened because Bob Johnson dared to shake up the landscape. Everyone has a vision but the question is what extreme measures will you take to make your vision come to life. Are you willing to change the people you align yourself with, are you willing to go into unfamiliar places and most importantly are you ready to invest in you.
Now's the time to take that course, read that book, buy that computer, or set up that consultation.
Once you dream it you can manifest it.
It's time to get comfortable being uncomfortable because nothing was ever designed to stay the same. Everything that doesn't grow or evolve dies. Don't let your dream die because you're scared of what's on the other side of the door.
Just knock, walk in, and take a leap of faith.
With great sacrifice comes great rewards. Everywhere in the bible someone had to do something uncomfortable and make a sacrifice to get what God had for them. Now's your moment, your opportunity to succumb to familiarity or rejoice in uncomfortability.
The choice is yours choose wisely your blessings just might depend on it!.
