The Speed of Opportunity

There are very few things in life that stand still. Honestly only statues, architectural structures and dead things can be consistently found in the same spot. As life is constantly evolving and moving forward, no human can afford to become stagnant or complacent. Just as life moves fast, opportunity moves faster. In most cases, it's very limited. The truly opportunistic will never miss a chance to pursue an endeavor or try an idea. But the unsure lazy person will surely make an excuse.

There lies the problem.

Some opportunities are once in a lifetime, so you CANNOT afford to procrastinate or ponder; you must move and move diligently. See, OPPORTUNITY moves at the speed of life, and it waits for NO ONE. If you have a dream, pursue it; if you have a plan, put it in motion. If you have doubts, cast them aside.

Never have hope. Always have FAITH.

Hope is based on luck. Faith is based on God, and it carries a true belief in your self worth. It also shows that you are trusting God, and what you are chasing after is truly attainable and meant for you. Always remember, faith without works is DEAD. Many of us say, “I'll do it next week,” and years end up passing by. How many times are we like— wow, that blew up overnight. That’s the speed of opportunity.

It's like a tidal wave. It comes quickly, raising you up and in a split second it's gone. That's why it's important to put muscle to your hustle. Do all the things that are required to succeed. Why would someone work hard to help you, and you won't help yourself? Tyler Perry is not where he is because of luck. He's successful because of hard work and perseverance.

He seized his moment. He seized his opportunity.

Sean "Puffy" Combs is not a music mogul by chance. He is an icon because he pushed and demanded space and opportunity to succeed. Now, ask yourself— what are you willing to do to be successful to be great? When the opportunity train comes speeding down your tracks of life, will you catch it or will you get run over?

Remember, it's okay to get run over trying to catch the train, but it sucks to get run over by not paying attention. Life is short, but opportunity is shorter. That's why there's no better time to work towards your goals then the PRESENT. Yesterday is over and tomorrow may never come.

Be confident. Be prepared. Always stay ready so you don't have to get ready.

Find your niche, make your mark and seize your opportunity so you can truly fulfill your destiny. Don't look up one day and have a life full of regrets. Your dreams are always just an opportunity away.
